Aswan University’s Preparations for the Upcoming African Universities Week

  Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab declared that delegations from 19 African countries will take part in the events of the African Universities Week 19th – 25th Oct. 2019 as a part of President Abd Al Fattah Al Sisi’s declaration that Aswan is the capital of the African youth 2019. The participating countries are Nigeria, Chad, Somalia, Mali, Central Africa, Benin, Republic of Malawi, Senegal, Tanzania, Niger, Republic of Uganda, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Gabon, Cameroon, Togo, Liberia, Sudan, and Ivory Coast. He added that students of 20 Egyptian universities will take part in the event. The university finished establishing 5 players’ and table tennis playgrounds and a 1000 audience-capacity stadium. Beach soccer playground is being established in addition to preparing the covered and open theatre to host artistic events. It was ordered to decorate the university buildings to appear at its best in front of the participants.

  The chairman of Aswan University’s supreme organizing committee of the African universities week Prof. Abd Al Rahman Abd Al Baset said that the students of the faculty of physical education are being trained daily since July on the sports shows of the inauguration celebration that is planned to be held at Aswan Stadium with the participation of 2000 students.
