Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, President of Aswan University, emphasized the importance of environmental awareness and the goals of the Climate Change Conference for university students. The institution is planning a number of training sessions, workshops, and educational and scientific lectures on the threats and problems that the globe faces as a result of global climate change.
His Excellency added that the Faculty of Physical Education organized a symposium on climate change and introducing students to Egypt’s gains from hosting the summit, spreading environmental awareness, and how to plant fruit trees on the roofs of houses for a better healthy environment, which was lectured by Eng. Mohamed Qabtan – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Henjamla Foundation – and Dr. Mohamed El-Dawy at the university’s sports stadium on the university campus in Sahara.
Dr. Adel Makki, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, stated that the lectures were given by Eng. Mohamed Basyouni, Director of the Program Content Development Department, and Eng. Ahmed Gad, Director of the Electronic Content Development Unit at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. The lectures defined and explained the content of the training course, how to register on the platform, and the conditions for obtaining the certificate electronically after All of this is done online, using self-learning and a streamlined approach to raising community awareness.
Dr. Walid Rizk, Faculty of Physical Education, highlighted that this course is part of the collaboration between the Faculty of Physical Education and the Umm Habiba Foundation. Students from Aswan’s Faculty of Science and Physical Education, Institute of Languages and Translation, Faculty of Social Work, and School of Nursing participated in the session. The Continuing Education Center’s most essential training programs and their relevance to the labor market were discussed.
