Aswan University President grants a Quran memorizer an Umrah trip

As part of his ongoing support and encouragement for young people to memorize and recite the Quran during the month of Ramadan, Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, participated in the celebration held to honor the Quran memorizers at the Armed Forces indoor hall in Aswan Governorate. The event was organized under the supervision of Sheikh Samir Mohamed Khalil, Director of the Endowments Directorate in Aswan, and attended by a number of religious figures from the directorate and Al-Azhar.

During the event, Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat presented a prize to one of the winners among the Quran memorizers, which was an Umrah trip to motivate and encourage him and other young people and children to hold onto and memorize the Holy Quran. This kind gesture aligns with the President of Aswan University’s focus on promoting religious culture and fostering a spirit of healthy competition among the youth in the governorate, emphasizing the important role of the Quran in shaping character and guiding individuals toward the right path.

Prof. Nasrat mentioned that the competition included four levels of memorization, with prizes distributed accordingly. These included a first level for memorizing three parts of the Quran, a second level for memorizing ten parts, a third level for memorizing half of the Quran, and a fourth level for memorizing the entire Quran. The prizes included cash rewards and three Umrah trips for those who memorized the complete Quran.

The attendees expressed their great admiration for this blessed and noble event, which reflects Aswan University’s commitment to supporting religious and cultural activities, and highlighted the importance of promoting such initiatives that contribute to instilling religious values in future generations.

Prof. Loai Nasrat also expressed his happiness in participating in this event, affirming that Aswan University will always support initiatives that aim to enhance religious and cultural awareness among young people. He wished all the winners success in their educational and religious journeys.
