In his speech, Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat emphasized the importance of linking industry with the university’s scientific research outputs, which serve as a house of expertise across various fields through its diverse faculties. He noted that the goal is to narrow the gap between education, the labor market, and society — a core part of Aswan University’s strategy.
He added that this forum is held in line with the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Building the Human Being,” launched by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between education, industry, and investment. The forum also seeks to enhance the employability of university graduates by connecting them with the industrial sector and providing real opportunities for training and employment.
For his part, Prof. Tarek Hassan, Dean of Faculty of Energy Engineering and President of the Forum, stated that the main objective of the forum is to establish connections between industrial and energy companies through the utilization of academic expertise and educational cadres to implement industrial projects with high quality and precise technical standards. The forum includes several panel discussions and roundtable dialogues aimed at exchanging scientific and research ideas that could benefit industry across various sectors, particularly in light of the challenges and changes taking place in the New Republic.
The forum’s activities began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem, and then a series of discussion sessions, culminating in the presentation of final recommendations aimed at enhancing cooperation between university education and industry in southern Upper Egypt.
It is worth noting that this forum represents an important step toward strengthening the partnership between academic institutions and the industrial sector, which will contribute to achieving sustainable development in southern Upper Egypt.
