Prof. Loay Saad El-Deen Nasrat, the Acting President of Aswan University, announced the preliminary list of applicants for the position of Dean of the Faculties of Science and Veterinary Medicine. This follows the conclusion of the application period, which began on Sunday, June 29, 2025, and ended on Sunday, July 6, 2025.
Prof. Nasrat confirmed that all applicants listed in the preliminary list have submitted all the required documents, which were handed over to the President’s Office at the university’s headquarters in Sahari. He added that the university has opened the door for appeals on July 7 and 8, and these will be reviewed and resolved in preparation for announcing the final list on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
The preliminary list for the Faculty of Science includes the following eight professors:
- Maher Ibrahim Abdelrahim El-Soghair, Professor in the Department of Geology
- Alaa El-Din Salah El-Din Abdelwahab, Head of the Department of Zoology
- Alaa Hassan Nour El-Din Mohamed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs
- Essam Abdelsalam Abdelhaleem Shaalan, Professor in the Department of Zoology
- Osama Ahmed Mohellil Hassanain, Professor in the Department of Botany
- Moatamad Refaat Hassan Mohamed, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research
- Ibrahim Bayoumi Abdel-Farid Ali, Head of the Department of Botany
- Ahmed Abdelsadeq Mohamed Khalil, Professor in the Department of Zoology
The preliminary list of applicants for the deanship of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine includes four professors:
- Mohamed Karmi Hussein Mahmoud, Professor in the Department of Food Hygiene and Control
- Ragab Hassan Mohamed Hassan, Professor in the Department of Obstetrics
- Marwa Ibrahim Ismail Khalil, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research
- Ahmed Saeed Hafez Saeed, Professor in the Department of Pharmacology
