Faculty of Medicine Celebrates October Victories and Welcomes New Students in an Atmosphere of Pride and Excellence

In an atmosphere filled with national pride and academic honor, Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University organized a special celebration to commemorate the glorious October victories. The event coincided with the welcoming of new male and female students for the 2025–2026 academic year. It was held under the patronage of Prof. Loai Saad El-Din Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, and Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury, Dean of the Faculty, and was attended by university and faculty leaders, academic staff, and students.

The celebration was attended by Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, who expressed his joy in participating in this significant national occasion. He emphasized the importance of connecting the new generations with Egypt’s honorable history.

In his speech, Prof. Nasrat stated that the glorious October victories represent a great occasion in which we recall the spirit of triumph and determination — the same values we instill in our students, so they may graduate as doctors carrying the responsibility of building the nation and enhancing the health of the Egyptian people under the New Republic.

Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, added that the faculty is committed to providing a comprehensive educational environment that combines academic excellence with national belonging. “Today, as we celebrate the victories of the Egyptian people and welcome a new generation of medical students, we affirm to them that excellence and humanity are the hallmarks of a successful physician. The faculty doors are always open to support its students academically, psychologically, and professionally.

The celebration also included the participation of:

Prof. Mostafa El-Teery, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Mohamed Mostafa, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ashraf Mebed, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environment Development, Alongside members of the teaching staff, their assistants, and a large number of students from the faculty.

The event featured national artistic performances, motivational speeches by Academic staff, and segments introducing the Faculty’s academic and research activities and services.

At the end of the event, several distinguished department heads and outstanding students were honored. The new students were officially welcomed in a festive atmosphere that reflected the family spirit and that characterizes the Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University.
