As part of Aswan University’s commitment to supporting its students and preparing them for community engagement, Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat – Acting President of Aswan University – signed a joint cooperation protocol with Misr El Kheir Foundation (Volunteering Department), aimed at training and qualifying young cadres in professional volunteering concepts and promoting community work within the university.
The signing ceremony took place at the university’s Sahari campus, in attendance of Eng. Sherif Azouz, Director of the Volunteering Department at the foundation; Dr. Ahmed Moussa, Director of the foundation’s office in Aswan; Dr. Ashraf Imam, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmentl Development Affairs; and a number of work teams and volunteer representatives.
Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat emphasized that the protocol aligns with the university’s strategy to strengthen cooperation with civil society organizations, pointing out that the university aims to build a generation capable of creating positive change by integrating students into the developmental volunteering system and supporting their effective participation in community issues.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Moussa explained that the protocol reflects Misr El Kheir Foundation’s keenness to support and empower youth in cooperation with educational institutions by spreading the culture of volunteering and implementing developmental initiatives that serve the local community.
The terms of cooperation include recruiting and training university student volunteers, implementing development projects, and supporting student activities of a charitable nature—contributing to the promotion of values of belonging, citizenship, and the building of a future based on awareness and positive participation.
