Executive Director’s speech:
Scientific research is one of the fundamental pillars for the development of societies and the building of their future. It is also one of the most important tools through which universities fulfill their academic and societal missions. Based on Aswan University’s belief in the importance of scientific research and its role in addressing the issues and challenges facing society, the Aswan University Research Unit serves as one of the mechanisms supporting the university’s scientific research system.
The Unit works to provide a supportive environment for researchers and students and to encourage scientific research that addresses the actual needs of society and contributes to developing scientific solutions to the problems facing various sectors and productive and service activities. The Unit also seeks to promote a culture of scientific research and raise awareness of its importance by organizing seminars, training courses, programs, and scientific conferences, thereby contributing to the development of researchers’ and students’ skills and enhancing their research capabilities.
As part of the University’s commitment to strengthening scientific cooperation and openness, the Unit also works to strengthen scientific and cultural ties with various universities and research institutions and to provide greater opportunities for the exchange of expertise and knowledge. This, in turn, contributes to enhancing Aswan University’s position within the scientific research system.
The Unit also places particular emphasis on supporting students and training them in scientific research skills, in cooperation with Academic staff and specialized professors. This reflects our belief that preparing a generation of researchers capable of producing and effectively applying knowledge represents a genuine investment in the future of the University and society.
As I welcome you to the Aswan University Research Unit, I look forward to seeing the Unit become an effective platform for scientific collaboration, researcher support, and the exchange of knowledge and expertise, as well as for transforming scientific research findings into solutions and practical applications that contribute to serving the University and society.
