Mental health support

We recognize that there can be times when some students struggle with the demands of studying or life in general. Nationally, and indeed globally, there is increasing concern about mental health challenges facing young people as a result of the growing pressures they face living, studying and working in today’s world. We also know that staff in higher education are reporting higher levels of stress and anxiety than in previous generations. It is our absolute priority at Aswan University to work with our students and staff to promote good physical and mental health, and to support students, staff and our society who need help through (Training and Psychological Counseling and Human Development Unit), which aims to:

  1. Providing training and psychological, social and administrative consultations for community institutions.
  2. Providing guidance and psychological counseling services, whether therapeutic, marital, family, and youth counseling, for ordinary or people with special needs.
  3. Providing psychological, professional and administrative counseling services, especially for some cases that suffer from behavioral disorders that hinder them from psychological and professional adjustment.
  4. Providing training programs for nurses, psychologists and social workers, teachers and researchers in the field of psychology and special education who work with students.
  5. Establishing indicative training courses and programs in the psychology of management and professional and psychological rehabilitation for workers in various professional fields to rehabilitate their employees and increase their professional competencies.
