The University Hostels Youth Welfare Administration has organized a sports day as a part of the events of the sports season of the university hostels. In the same context Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab has stressed on the importance of the students’ activities especially the sports ones. The vice president of education and student’s affairs Prof. Hanan Abd Al Moneam added that the students’ activities inside the university hostels play an effective role in the students’ harmony and creating familiar atmosphere among them. The general manager of the university hostels and nutrition Mr. Al Amir Hamza Mahmoud has showed that the sports day included several sports activities such as football, marathon and table tennis; the students have been classified according to the hostels buildings names and the day was concluded by an artistic celebration included Holy Quran memorizing contest, poetry and singing.
