Today, Tuesday – 7/12/2021 AD, the Social Solidarity Unit at Aswan University was implemented
A seminar on “Combating Violence against Women within the 16 Days Campaign to Combat Violence against Women and Girls on the issue of domestic violence.”
The symposium was initiated by Professor Ahmed Mahmoud Obaid – the unit’s coordinator.
We congratulate His Excellency Prof. Ayman Othman, President of Aswan University, for the issuance of the republican decision to assume the position of President of the University, wishing him all success.
Then, we welcome the attendance of students from the various faculties at Aswan University.
– Introducing the unit, its axes and objectives, and presenting some of the unit’s activities that it carried out in the previous period.
Then, Prof. Nabila Mohamed Lotfy – Head of the Department of Social Work at the Faculty of Social Work at Aswan University began.
– Starting the meeting in an innovative way by her Excellency to get acquainted with the attending students and to show a kind of movement in introducing themselves.
Then start defining the campaign launched by the Ministry of Solidarity to combat violence against women and girls.
Then introduce the concept of violence in general. – Then the definition of domestic violence – types of domestic violence – causes of domestic violence – seriousness of domestic violence – violence against women – jurisprudential rulings on violence against women – effects of violence on the individual and society – treatment of domestic violence.
