
In an atmosphere of enthusiasm and determination, under the patronage of Major General. Ahmed Mostafa Sadeq, Director of the Recruitment and Mobilization Department, Major General. Ismail Kamal, Governor of Aswan, and Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, the “Heroes of Determination” celebration kicked off. The event was organized as part of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to support and care for individuals with special needs. The ceremony was attended by recruitment leaders from Qena, Aswan, and Luxor, along with the Military Advisor, Engineer Amr Lashin, Deputy Governor of Aswan, religious leaders from both Islam and Christianity, as well as families of people with special needs from Aswan Governorate.
Major General. Ismail Kamal, Governor of Aswan, praised the role of the Armed Forces in providing care for people with special needs, expressing his gratitude to Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, President of Aswan University. He also thanked the university students with special needs who represent an integral part of the future youth.
The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat then welcomed the attendees, expressing his happiness in organizing this event, which affirms Aswan University’s commitment to providing care and support to its students with special needs. Prof. Nasrat commended the ongoing and fruitful cooperation between Aswan University and the Recruitment and Mobilization Department, emphasizing that this event is an important step in supporting the state’s efforts for this cherished group of citizens.
Prof. Nasrat added that the celebration is part of the state’s strategic vision under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who places special attention on individuals with special needs, ensuring they have all the necessary support.
In this context, Prof. Nasrat praised the role of the General Command of the Armed Forces in providing full support to this group through a unique initiative by the Recruitment and Mobilization Department, which includes medical checkups and completing the conscription procedures for students with special needs who have reached conscription age.
The event also featured artistic and musical performances by students from schools and Aswan University, as well as folk art and Nubian music groups, which added a joyful atmosphere to the celebration. At the end of the event, conscription exemption certificates were distributed to Aswan University students with special needs, as part of a comprehensive plan aimed at providing all possible facilities and opportunities for them.
Prof. Loai Nasrat expressed his gratitude to the Egyptian Armed Forces, highlighting them as the nation’s steadfast protector, and proudly acknowledged the fruitful collaboration between Aswan University and the Recruitment and Mobilization Department. He also thanked all those who contributed to the success of this initiative.
On his part, Major General Ahmed Mostafa Sadek, Director of the Recruitment and Mobilization Department, emphasized the political leadership’s concern for people with special needs, pointing out that the recruitment department provides all forms of support and facilities to students from this group, making it easier for them to integrate into society and contribute through creativity and innovation.
At the end of the ceremony, commemorative shields were exchanged between Aswan University and the Recruitment and Mobilization Department. Students also took commemorative photos with the Governor of Aswan, the President of Aswan University, the Director of the Recruitment and Mobilization Department, and other attendees.
