Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab declared that the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education has granted Aswan university faculty of engineering the academic accreditation as the first faculty of engineering in Upper Egypt. He added that this evaluation will make the faculty of engineering in the lead at the level of the engineering faculties in Egypt and the Arab World.
Prof. Ghallab said that some faculties (medicine – commerce – Al Alsun- Dar Al Uloom – archaeology – arts) will be transferred to the university new branch in Aswan Al Gadeda for starting the study during the academic year 2018/2019; he added that the building of the faculty of dentistry is being prepared for being inaugurated soon.
Prof. Ghallab said that the old branch is being developed through gardening, establishing a botanical garden, developing sanitary sewer network in addition to establishing handball and tennis playgrounds for serving the students, the academic staff and the university employees.
In a related context, Aswan university president urged to develop the university hospital. He announced that the hospital new building will be inaugurated as soon as possible. It is decided that the internal medicine department will be transferred to the new building. In the same context, an intensive care unit, premature babies’ center, auditoriums for the faculty students in addition to endoscopy and dialysis units are supposed to be opened in the near future.
