Implementing Quality and Accreditation Standards in Education Process is a key Preparation for the New Academic Year

Prof. Loai Saad El-Din Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, held an extensive meeting with members of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center at the university. The meeting was attended by Prof. Nadi Kamal Aziz Gerges, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, Prof. Hassan Allam, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Center, and several other center members, including Prof. Yasser Abdel-Hamid, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Prof. Atef Shahata, Emeritus Professor at Faculty of Education, and Prof. Wagdy Saber, Professor at Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Prof. Loai Saad El-Din Nasrat stated that the meeting aimed to discuss several important topics that contribute to improving the educational system’s quality for the new academic year 2024/2025. Notably, these topics include the creation of question banks for university courses and the implementation of electronic correction for objective tests. The meeting also reviewed achievements from the second semester of May 2024 to ensure the application of quality standards in the educational process.

Prof. Hassan Allam, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Center, added that the correction of summer term exams for Faculties that apply the credit hour system is ongoing. Several topics contributing to quality assurance at the university were discussed, and Faculties and institutes were urged to participate in the Ministry of Higher Education’s projects unit initiatives.

Prof. Nadi Kamal Aziz Gerges emphasized that implementing quality and accreditation standards in the educational process is crucial for meeting all required procedures to help Faculties obtain accreditation. He noted that Aswan University includes several accredited faculties, such as Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Science, thanks to the support and guidance of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center at the university.
