Prof. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mehllal, Acting President of Aswan University, announced the approval of the first-year results at the Faculty of Human Medicine for the academic year 2025/2026, following the completion of the examination marking, grade recording, and final review processes, in accordance with the regulations governing the educational and examination processes and the approved academic standards.
The Acting President of the University explained that 413 male and female students have performed the first-year examinations at the Faculty of Medicine. The results showed that 62 students obtained an Excellent grade, 31 obtained a Very Good grade, 5 obtained a Good grade, and one student obtained a Pass grade.
The results also included 47 students required to take a second-round examination in one subject, 32 students required to take a second-round examination in two subjects, and 234 students required to take second-round examinations in more than two subjects, in addition to one student who failed and will have to repeat the academic year.
Prof. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mehllal emphasized that Aswan University places the quality of the educational process and adherence to academic standards among its top priorities, particularly in medical-sector faculties, which require the application of the highest standards of accuracy and discipline. This approach aims to ensure the preparation of qualified medical professionals capable of assuming the responsibilities of the profession.
He added that the university is committed to providing an advanced educational environment and strengthening academic support and scientific guidance systems for students. These efforts contribute to enhancing their academic knowledge and practical skills. He stressed that the university’s primary objective is to prepare physicians who possess strong scientific competencies and professional skills and are capable of keeping pace with the rapid developments in the fields of education and medicine, in accordance with national and international standards.
For his part, Prof. Ashraf Emam, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environment Development and Supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs Sector, explained that the announcement of the first-year results at the Faculty of Medicine followed the application of rigorous standards in the marking, review, and grade-recording processes. He confirmed that the examination process was conducted with transparency, discipline, and full compliance with the approved academic regulations.
He pointed out that the university is committed to ensuring the highest levels of fairness and equal opportunities among students, while continuing to closely monitor the educational and examination processes in a manner that supports the quality of university education outcomes.
In the same context, Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University, affirmed that the faculty’s academic programs are based on a modern educational system aimed at developing students’ abilities in understanding, analysis, and practical application, rather than relying solely on memorization and rote learning.
He explained that the examinations were designed to assess the extent to which students achieved the targeted learning outcomes, in accordance with quality assurance and academic accreditation standards. He noted that all examination, marking, and grade-recording procedures were carried out in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the educational process.
He added that the Faculty of Medicine continues to implement academic support and scientific guidance programs for students, while continuously monitoring their academic performance, addressing areas of weakness, and strengthening their areas of excellence. These efforts contribute to improving academic performance and enhancing students’ competencies.
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine emphasized that the faculty operates in accordance with its mission of preparing physicians who are distinguished academically, professionally, and ethically, capable of serving the community efficiently and effectively, while keeping pace with labor market needs and ongoing developments in the medical field.
