Aswan University Continues its Intensive Preparations to Host the First Week of African Universities

Aswan University, headed by Prof. Ahmed Ghalab, is preparing to host the first week of African universities, which will be held from October 19 to 25, in the framework of the announcement by President Abdel Fattah Sisi that Aswan is the capital of African youth this year.
Ghallab declared the work is in full swing to host the first week of African universities that includes the delegations of 20 various African universities that are equivalent 40 individual per delegation in cooperation with Ministry of Youth and Sport.


He added that the theater is being developed in the university through the rehabilitation of the theater floor, wooden walls, seats and changing the lighting system to be ready to receive the participating technical teams. The theater accommodates about 330 individuals, in addition to the open theater at the university. He also pointed out the rehabilitation of the university entrance and the improvement of green spaces and the setting up of flags for the African countries participating in the African Universities Week.


Aswan University President declared that they completed the first phase of the training of the students of the Faculty of Physical Education on the artistic presentations that will be presented during the opening ceremony, this phase continued for nearly a month in participation with 800 students and the duration of exercises was 3 days a week at day and night under the supervision of Prof.Abdel Rahman Abdel Bassat-Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education ,while the university provided the accommodation and nutrition for students in university cities, while the second phase of the training on presentations will be started August 24th up to the lanching of the events of African Universities week.
