Aswan University Convoy Succeed in Medical Examination on Djibouti Patients

The medical convoys which were organized by faculty of medicine in Aswan University in cooperation with Egyptian Agency for Partnership for the development in Ministry of Foreign Affairs succeeded in the medical check on more than 500 citizens in the state of Djibouti during the period from 23 to 28 current March.

Prof.Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed –Aswan University President declared that the convoy was organized during the declaration of the republic president Abdel Fattah El Sisi; Aswan is the capital of  African youth during 2019, this convoy included five specializations (Public Surgery- Vascular surgery – Ophthalmology – ENT – Anesthesia).

Prof.Mohammed Zaki El Dahshory-Acting Dean of Faculty of Medicine added that the convoy also succeeded in proceeding more than 100 surgeries in the various medical specializations the convey received a remarkable turnout by the patients in Djibouti.

He explained that Dijbouti people asked to repeat this medical convoy in various specializations during the next period, and it is expected there will be another convoy to Dijbouti state after Eid al-Fitr.

From his part, Prof.Abdel Rahman El Tahan-Head of Medical Convoy in Djibouti and the Agent of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service& Environment Development point out that Minister of Health of Djibouti held a meeting with the members of the convoy as appreciation for their big effort this is before leaving Djibouti and returning to Egypt.
