Aswan University is hosting Prof. Nader Hana, professor of gastrointestinal oncology at Maryland University, the USA who is paying a four-day visit to Aswan university hospital to check patients and perform a number of surgeries free of charge under the patronage of Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab. The international professor said that the visit falls within the initiative “Grant your Effort to Egypt” sponsored by Esmaoona Foundation in coordination with Aswan University. The initiative aims at training young physicians and exchange experience by holding several seminars and performing as many surgeries as possible. The visit also aims at supporting volunteer work. For his part, the dean of the faculty of medicine Prof. Mohammed Zaki Al Dahshori said that the visit will enhance the experience of young physicians and researchers in the field of chronic diseases as gastrointestinal tumors. The general manager of Aswan university hospital Dr. Abd Allah Al Ebeidy declared that the visit was fully prepared for through providing all necessary equipment and holding a number of significant seminars. Eng. Gamal Abd Al Nasser, treasurer of Esmaoona foundation, said that a large number of prominent Egyptian physicians from all over the world are taking part in the event among whom Professor Nader Hana who is ranked among the best 10 surgeons in the USA.
