Aswan University participates in Cultivating 1,000 fruitful trees in Fares village, in cooperation with Hayaa Karima and Hangamelha Foundations

Aswan University_ headed by Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman_ University President, in cooperation with the Foundations of hayaa Karima_ Decent Life, and Hangamelha_ “We Will Beautify it”_ participated in planting 1000 fruitful trees in Fares village in the Kom Ombo Centre, which was chosen as the best environmentally friendly village, and among the first green sustainable model villages, in addition to its inclusion in the presidential initiative of Hayaa Karima.

Dr. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat – Vice President of Aswan University for Education and Student Affairs – stressed the importance of Aswan University’s participation in the presidential initiatives of “Hayaa Karima” and “Hangamelha”, that the university organized a number of field visits for Aswan University students for Hayaa Karima projects in various villages and centers of Aswan Governorate Which is witnessing an unprecedented boom in the countryside of Egypt in light of the presidential initiative launched by President / Abdel Fattah El-Sisi – President of the Republic.

This comes within the framework of joint cooperation between Aswan University and Hayaa Karima Foundation, which began with a number of introductory seminars for Aswan University students about the national projects that were translated into Aswan Governorate.

University Vice President for Education and Student Affairs added that the visit was attended by Eng/ Mohamed Al-Qobtan_ Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hangmalha Foundation, Dr. Mohamed Salah_ Coordinator of Hayaa Karima in Aswan, Dr. Hamada Ragab_Coordinator of the University for Hayaa Karima, and Dr. Mohamed El-Dawy from Faculty of Physical Education. And a number of Academic staff and a number of university students from various Faculties.

Eng/ Mohamed Qobtan _ Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hangmalha Foundation and General Coordinator of the initiative _ explained that the initiative launched its effectiveness under the auspices of the political leadership of His Excellency President / Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi – Republic President _ and we are keen to cooperate with Aswan University to achieve the goals of the initiative and working on cultivating these fruitful trees of economic value And work to increase green spaces in light of Egypt’s hosting of the International Conference on Climate Change.

Dr. Hamada Ragab – Professor and Head of the Social Planning Department at the Faculty of Social Work and coordinator of the Hayaa Karima Initiative at the university – indicated that the participation included introducing students to the projects of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in cooperation with Hayaa Karima Foundation, which is a wastewater treatment plant, government services complex and agricultural complex in the village. The residential units that are being constructed for the people of the village within the framework of a Kareem housing project, the family medicine unit, the ambulance point, and Fares Preparatory School, and planting a number of trees and ornamental flowers in front of the Hayaa Karima facilities in the village that have been developed. The university also participated in setting up a student camp with a strength of 100 students from the faculties of agriculture, social service, and agriculture. The aim is to instill the values of loyalty, belonging and bearing responsibility among university youth, and how to deal with it.

Dr. Mohamed Salah_ coordinator of Hayaa Karima Foundation in Aswan _ praised the role of Aswan University and the importance of the university youth’s participation in identifying national projects within the framework of the state’s support for the village, so that Fares village becomes the first sustainable green village and planting many fruitful trees in the village so that it is environmentally friendly.
