Aswan University’s Preparations for the Academic Year 2018/2019

  Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab announced that the university is ready to receive 25000 students this academic year 2018/2019.

  In a statement to Alahram Almassae newspaper, Aswan University president said that the university is  experiencing a surge in the current year; 6 faculties have been transferred to Aswan Al Gadeda branch including the faculties of law, commerce, Alsun, Dar Ulom, medicine in addition to 3 departments of the faculty of arts. A modern system is adopted in the faculty of medicine, the study years will be 5 instead of 6 in addition to 2 internship years. Developed labs, auditoriums and a dissecting room are fully prepared for receiving the students. He added that the faculty of dentistry will be opened in the academic year 2019/2020. The university president continued that Aswan University became the first destination to international students; it will receive 1000 international students from different Arab countries this year in the faculties of medicine, energy engineering, science, agriculture in addition to African studies institute.

  In the same context, he said that the university plays a vital role in developing the society pointing at the role of foreign students in flourishing the tourism movement in Aswan. Regarding the problem of the students’ transport from Aswan city to the university branch in Aswan Al Gadeda, the university has allocated buses and minibuses to transport student to and from Aswan Al Gadeda.

  In conclusion of his statement, the president referred to Aswan university’s participation in the contest of the Best Egyptian University with 3 files (the new building of the faculty of agriculture – the university dorms at Sahary city – the landscape of the university new headquarters at Aswan Al Gadede in addition to the playgrounds complex in the faculty of engineering, Abu Al Reish which will be ready to host the different student’s activities of all Egyptian universities.
