Prof Ahmed Gallab, Aswan University President held the fourth coordination meeting with the preparatory committees for the first week of the African universities which will be held from 19 to 25 October in the framework of the declaration of President Abdel Fattah Sisi as President of the African Youth City of 2019.
From his part, Ghallab said that the university is currently raising a slogan that does not exceed the voice of the first week of the African universities, in which 15 different African universities participate in addition to student delegations from 25 Egyptian universities with a total of 500 students.
He added that the preparatory committees for the African week numbered (13) specialized committees in various fields (sports, culture, art, technology, social, the opening of presentations, prizes, etc.). These committees competed for the preparation of all competitions and different venues Which permeates this African week.
Prof. Abdulrahman Abdulbaset- Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the University, pointed out that the week of the African universities includes many sports activities, including: (five-league football league – beach volleyball – table tennis – ), as well as artistic competitions in individual singing, oil painting, light and painting, and cultural competitions in the information league, wall magazines, poetry and television correspondent.
