Aswan University President Witnesses the Opening of the 3rd Round of the International Conference on Innovative Trends in Computer Engineering

  Aswan University President Prof. Ahmed Ghallab witnessed the opening events of the 3rd International Conference on Innovative Trends in Computer Engineering organized by the faculty of engineering in cooperation with the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority in the presence of  Eng. Ashraf Hassan, the head of the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority and the deputy minister of communication, Dr. Eng. Ghada Abu Zeid, the vice governor, the vice president of graduate studies and research Prof. Ayman Othman, the dean of the faculty of engineering Prof. Loay Saad Al Dein as well as Dr. Moustafa Al Nahaas, professor of computer engineering and the conference chairman.

In his welcome speech, Prof. Ghallab stressed that Aswan university is considered the engine of development and a center for knowledge and enlightenment for the Arab and African worlds.  It should be noted that Aswan university broke several records. It achieved the 1st place in citations according to Times Higher Education in 2019. The university was enrolled among the best 500 universities globally, it achieved the 8th place among the top 10 Arab universities in addition to the 2nd place in implementing the presidential initiative” Enhancing the Effectiveness of the Universities’ Role in Improving the Surrounding Slums “. Now it organizes the 3rd round of the International Conference on Innovative Trends in Computer Engineering with the presence of 191 scientists and young researchers from all over the world (the USA, India, Pakistan, and Hungary). That came within the Egyptian government’s experiment in applying digital technology applications in all governmental services and transactions. Prof. Ghallab added that Aswan University promoted using digital technology in scientific and research systems in disseminating and applying them electronically in research sectors and their outputs. The dean of the faculty of engineering said that 119 scientific research were submitted to the conference where the Judgement comity evaluated them and 68 of them managed to be introduced in the conference.
