Registration in Master and Ph.D. Degrees and Enrollment Terms

Enrollment is open on April and October 

REQUIRED PAPERS:

  • Application form(department chairman approval).
  • Bachelor certificate including the applicant’s grade average and major.
  • Master certificate for doctorate applicants.

Required papers for registration in postgraduate studies and research:

  • Graduation certificate ‘bachelor or licentiate’ a special diploma or a master’s certificate
  • A transcript of the studying years is required for admission to the master’s degree
  • Birth certification
  • (4) photographs
  • The approval of the employer or a statement that he does not work in the government or the public sector.
  • Determining the position regarding recruitment “postponed – temporary exempted – final exempted” or approval of the organization and administration in the Armed Forces to enlist the student as a conscript or approval of officers’ affairs if the applicant is a “police officer”.

For a student to register for a master’s degree in Nursing Sciences, the following is required:
  1. The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences from a university in the Arab Republic of Egypt or a degree an equivalent to university degree from a college/institute recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities
  2. Have at least a good grade in the specialty or a C .+ grade
  3. The approval of the employer to full time during the preliminary study period in case of registration for applicants from outside the faculty.
  4. The student must have obtained 311 international TOEFL scores or (6) international ELTs or equivalent (very good) or a certificate of passing an English language course from a recognized center for 45 hours or any other conditions applied by university councils

  1. He must have obtained a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medical sciences from an Egyptian university or an equivalent degree from another recognized scientific institute with a grade point average  (good) at least and a grade of (very good) at least in the major to be registered in. Or he must have obtained a postgraduate diploma in one of the specialization branches with a grade point average  (good) and a grade of (very good) in the major at least.
  2. At least one full year has passed since he obtained his bachelor’s degree.
  3. The study should be organized according to the academic schedules prepared by the faculty.

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering with a grade point average (good) at least, with the exception of the condition for obtaining a good grade is having a postgraduate diploma from one of the engineering colleges in the universities.
  • For students at private universities and engineering institutes (presenting an equivalency certificate approved by the Supreme Council of Universities).
  •  A transcript of the student’s grades during the five years of study.
  •  Birth certificate.
  •  A copy of the national ID, and the original is reviewed.
  • Four recent photographs (size 4 * 6)

It is required for the student to register for any of the Postgraduate Diploma
  1. He must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering in the specialization branch from an Egyptian university or an equivalent degree from a recognized scientific institute.
  2. The period of study required to obtain any of the postgraduate diplomas is two academic years (4 semesters), provided that the number of study hours is not less than 15 hours per week.
  3. To obtain a diploma, the student must have completed 50 hours per week.

Postgraduate students are enrolled twice a year with the beginning of the first week of August for a period of 51 days and in the first week of January for a period of 51 days.
The student is registered to obtain a diploma according to the following conditions:
  1. To have a bachelor’s degree in physical education and sports from a university Egyptian or an equivalent degree from a recognized college or scientific institute.
  2. Choosing the student for the personal interview and the affiliated department.
  3. Approving the names of students accepted by the department councils and the college council.
  4. Pay the prescribed tuition fees according to the number of hours registered for each semester.

For a student who wants to register in a research master’s degree in agricultural sciences, the following is required:
1- To have a bachelor’s degree in agricultural sciences from one of the Egyptian universities subject to the Universities Organizing Law or its equivalent, with a year’s estimate of “good” at least, and a grade of “very good” at least in the average of the majors determined by the college council.
2- A student in the Agricultural Production Division (General) may be enrolled for a master’s degree, provided that the student, prior to his enrollment in the master’s degree, completes courses in his field of specialization from the bachelor’s stage in at least 12 credit hours, and provided that his average grades in these courses is not less than very good (B). 
3- Before enrolling for a master’s degree in a major other than his major in the bachelor’s stage, the student must complete additional courses of no less than 12 credit hours from the bachelor’s degree courses in the specialization he wants to enroll in, provided that his average rating for these courses is not less than very good.
