Aswan University President: The French President’s Visit to Egypt Represents a Message of Security and Safety to the Entire World

Prof. Loai Saad El-Din Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, stated that the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Egypt sends a strong message to the world about the security and safety that Egypt enjoys. He emphasized that this visit reflects the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries and contributes to enhancing cooperation in many vital areas.

Nasrat added that this visit represents an important step towards developing the strategic partnership between Egypt and France, which will benefit both the Egyptian and French people and serve the interests of the region in general, especially in light of the challenges and risks facing the Middle East.

Aswan University President also noted that the international political arena is currently witnessing a historic summit between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. This visit marks a significant turning point in the relations between the two countries. The summit is expected to strengthen bilateral relations and elevate them to the level of a strategic partnership, reflecting the deep historical ties between Egypt and France and the diverse forms of cooperation that have existed between them over the decades.

Nasrat also highlighted the importance of the bilateral conference held between Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and France’s Minister of Higher Education, with the participation of university presidents and the French president. The conference discussed ways to cooperate in improving the quality of education in Egyptian universities, exchange expertise between the two sides, and develop educational programs in various fields of science and specializations. It also aimed to promote studies in the French language to increase the number of graduates and students who can compete in the labor market. Furthermore, Nasrat mentioned that there are models of student exchange programs between French and Egyptian universities to strengthen scientific cooperation between the two sides.

He added that Aswan University is one of the universities that places great importance on teaching the French language, with three specialized departments in French: the French Department in Faculty of Arts, the French Department in Faculty of Education, and the French Department in Faculty of Languages. This reflects Aswan University’s commitment to teaching the French language and studying its literature, creating harmony between the Egyptian and French sides.

Nasrat praised the ongoing efforts of the Egyptian government to strengthen its relations with major countries like France, emphasizing that this visit presents a significant opportunity to increase cooperation in education, culture, economy, and scientific research.

He confirmed that this visit opens new horizons for fruitful cooperation between the two countries and contributes to enhancing Egypt’s position on the international stage, which will positively impact all sectors of the country.
