Aswan university acting president Prof. Ayman Othman valued the significance of scientific research and of connecting it to the requirements of society and surrounding environment. Supreme Council of Universities SCU agreed on starting studying the new and distinct program in Egyptian universities; international master degree ” sciences in sustainable management of fisheries and aquaculture” in the faculty of fisheries technology and fish, Aswan university.
For his part Dr. Salah Al Dein Al Saaey, dean of fisheries technology and fish faculty, added that the new program is a result of cooperation between 4 Egyptian universities ( Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Alexandria university, Aswan university and Matrouh University) with 4 European ones of Portugal, Italy, Croatia and Slovenia as a part of the project of ” knowledge exchange in sustainable management of fisheries and aquaculture in Mediterranean Region” funded by the European Union among +Erasmus program. The program provides grants for distinct students to study in the European universities participating in the program.
