In frame of the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s concern to achieve Egypt’s vision for sustainable development 2030, especially the axes of justice, development and human building, under patronage of Ms. Nevin Al-Kabbaj _Minister of Social Solidarity, and Prof. Ayman Othman_ Aswan university President, and under supervision of Prof. Salah Hashem_Adviser of the Ministry of Solidarity for social policies and General Coordinator of Social Solidarity Units in Egyptian Universities.
The Ministry of Social Solidarity seeks to direct the thinking of university youth towards coming up with mechanisms to address fears, anxiety, psychological and social pressures to confront the phenomenon of suicide.
The Social Solidarity Unit at Aswan University organized A workshop entitled “Complete Safety” on how to overcome fears and confront the phenomenon of suicide on Sunday – 4/24/2022 (Online)
Whereas the lecturers at the workshop were:
– Prof. Abd Allah Saber Abdel-Hamid – Assistant Professor of Individual Service and Head of the Department at Faculty of Social Work.
– Dr. Zeinab Al-Nubi Mohamed – Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Faculty of Arts.
The topics of the workshop was about:
– Symptoms of anxiety and fear – How to get rid of anxiety and fear – The phenomenon of suicide and the factors causing it – What are the pressures and problems – Crises and their properties – What is suicidal thinking – What is fear – General unspecified fears – Definition of pathological fear – Pathological fears – traits of pathological fears – Social fears – Strategies for dealing with stressful situations – Methods for dealing with stressful situations.
