The Council of Postgraduate Studies and Research was held on Tuesday, 20th February 2024, headed by Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Aziz Mehallal Orabi_ Vice President of for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs.
The Council discussed an integrated proposal to encourage scientific research by exempting the student from presenting the scientific thesis in the traditional and generally accepted manner, without contradicting the internal regulations.
The Council was informed the decision of the Supreme Council of Universities to count the preparatory program for learning German language teaching (DLL) as 2 courses within the promotion courses for Academic staff and their assistants.
The Council completed the issues of registration and formation of supervisory committees for postgraduate students, and the vice president urged the vice deans to create a statistical system of all data of postgraduate students.
The council discussed several topics, including the registration of the assistant staff for the doctoral degree in the English Language Division, Faculty of Commerce, Aswan University.
