Launch of the Student Camp Activities at the Faculty of Sport Sciences, Aswan University, within the Framework of the “New Beginning for Human Development” Initiative

Faculty of Sport Sciences at Aswan University, under the patronage of Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of the University, organized a student camp as part of the “New Beginning for Human Development” initiative. The event was attended by Prof. Karim Hammam, Director of the Leadership Preparation Institute and Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for Student Activities, Prof. Adel Mekki, Dean of the Faculty, along with several university leaders and members of the civil society. The camp activities began with the national anthem, in attendance of a large number of students from the faculty.

Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen stated that these activities and student sports programs come as part of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Development,” with the camp bringing together the finest youth from the students. The initiative aims to develop the character of the Egyptian student by helping them acquire various life, sports, artistic, cultural, social, and economic skills, in alignment with the initiative’s goals over the course of 100 days since its launch.

Prof. Karim Hammam added that the political leadership places great importance on youth, which has contributed to the launch of numerous student activities and events across universities. Aswan University is considered one of the most dynamic universities, thanks to its strategic geographic location and the diversity of its faculties, which allows for the organization of numerous international and regional conferences and symposiums that contribute to building the Egyptian character.

Prof. Adel Meki explained that the faculty is working to implement the student activity plan into the execution of the “New Beginning for Human Development” initiative. He also highlighted that the faculty has been implementing the “Sport is National Security” initiative over the past years, which aims to make sports a way of life in the near future.
