Then Prof. Kamelia Salah El-Din, Professor of Public Law at Faculty of Law and Coordinator of the Unit at the faculty, delivered a lecture on the rights of working women. She emphasized that the legislator has granted women a set of special rights linked to their roles as wives and mothers. However, other rights enjoyed by women are equal to those of men, as are their obligations. Women’s labor rights are those specifically granted to working women, not as a form of discrimination, but to protect the family structure and care for children. This symposium is part of the efforts made by the unit to serve both the local and University Communities.
