Training program for students of Faculty of Fish and fisheries technology in Aswan

 

         The Central Laboratory for Fisheries Research of the Agricultural Research Center organized a training program for students of Faculty of Fish and Fisheries Technology, Aswan University, in Al-Abbasia region.

           For her part, Dr. Amira Al-Hanafi, Director of the Central Laboratory for Fisheries, stated that 11 students in the fourth year were trained, in Aquaculture Department, pointing out that the course aimed to focus on the practical side, starting with how to conduct the necessary analyzes to establish the farm from soil and water, and then how to conduct feed Formation and Examination. Learn about fish diseases, in addition to visiting research aquariums, greenhouses and hatcheries, and explaining practically.

           The Director of the Central Laboratory for Fisheries Research indicated that the course dealt with a lecture on integrated Aquaculture and biosecurity, and a lecture on shrimp Aquaculture, and then a visit was made to wheat Aquaculture in aquariums and the intensive fish Aquaculture system in a visit to the International Center to learn about its activities as well as practical training on a procedure for how Analyzing the aquariums water in the morning in the research farm of the laboratory and identifying the measurements of oxygen, ammonia and the elements that effect on aquaculture, then a visit to the productive aquariums to learn about the processes of breeding, production and the method of harvesting.

           It is worth mentioning that the Central Laboratory for Fisheries Research of the Agricultural Research Center is one of the research centers The lab includes a number of different departments, including the Research Department of Hatching and Reproductive Physiology, Department of Breeding and Genetics Research, Department of Fish Production and Aquaculture Systems Research Department, Department of Limnology Research (Water and Soil), Department of Fish Nutrition and Dietetics Research Department, and the Department of Fish Diseases Research.
