Women’s Film Festival: Aswan University is an essential partner in the fifth session

       Aswan International Women’s Film Festival administration confirmed that Aswan University is an essential partner in organizing the fifth session of the festival, with the university’s support to the festival, especially with regard to technical training workshops targeting young people from Aswan Governorate.

      The festival administration indicated that Prof. Ahmed Ghallab_ Aswan University President_ spares no effort in supporting any development projects related to youth, whether inside or outside the university. Therefore, the role of Aswan University was not limited to the educational aspect only, but extended to sponsoring sports, cultural and artistic activities.

       Scriptwriter/ Mohamed Abdel-Khaleq_ head of the festival_ declared that the cooperation between the festival and Aswan University began since the first session in 2017, but it witnessed a great development during the tenure of Prof. Ahmed Ghallab_ the current university president. 

       Abdel-Khaleq stated that part of the activities of the fifth session, which will be held at the beginning of the summer, will be inside Aswan University, after that the president of the university added elements that make the university a cultural and artistic site with distinction, especially the theater equipped at the highest level as well as the open theater.

        The journalist/ Hassan Abo El-Ela_ director of the festival_ said that Prof. Ahmed Ghallab_ Aswan University President_ has not been late since taking responsibility for meeting the needs of the young people participating in the art workshops, especially as most of them are university students, stressing that the festival is proud of having a partnership with Aswan University, which is considered one of the most important Egyptian universities.

        Abo El-Ela indicated that the festival looks forward every year to develop forms of cooperation with Aswan University, especially as it includes promising artistic talents, explaining that the various university administrations are keen to overcome any obstacles facing the festival, foremost of which is the public relations and media administrations.

        It is noteworthy that Aswan International Film Festival for Women is held with the support of Ministries of Culture and Tourism, and sponsored by Aswan Governorate, the National Council for Women and the Akt Foundation, and honors in its fifth session the artists: Ilham Shaheen and Donia Samir Ghanem.
