Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Aswan University president, announced that four professors from the university’s Academic staff have been selected to join the new formation of the specialized councils at the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology for the period from 2025 to 2028, according to a decision by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, number 31 of 2025.
Nasrat explained that the selection of these four professors is part of the ministry’s efforts to strengthen cooperation between academic and research institutions and to develop various scientific fields, which contributes to advancing scientific research at Aswan University. This also supports scientific institutions with research and scientific specialties in various sectors. The selected professors are: Prof. Mohamed Nageib Rashid, Faculty of Science, member of the Environment Research Council; Prof. Ahmed Rashad, Faculty of Science, member of the Mathematics Council; Dr. Karrar Mahmoud Badawy, Faculty of Engineering, member of the Electrical and Energy Research Council; and Dr. Haytham El-Sayed, Faculty of Law, member of the Social and Population Research Council.
Aswan University President emphasized that this selection is an honor for the university and its Academic staff, reflecting the growing role of Aswan University in active participation in national research initiatives. This also opens up more opportunities for cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research, enhancing the university’s role in driving development and scientific progress in various fields.
Nasrat added that this selection aligns with the university’s continuous efforts to support scientific research and encourage Academic staff to offer their best in research and development fields, in line with the political leadership’s aspirations to achieve sustainable development in all scientific and technological areas.
