Aswan University aims to establish start-up companies to support the Egyptian economy

Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman _ Aswan University President_ confirmed that a training program entitled: Ideation Bootcamp “Smart Green Pioneering Projects and Climate Change for Sustainable Development” has been conducted, emphasizing that the general objective of the training is to build capabilities of Participants will be given the concepts and skills of project planning and come up with ideas for projects that serve the areas of climate change (mitigation – adaptation). 

Prof. Mohamed Abd el-Aziz Mehalal, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, added that student teams have been prepared to participate in the National Initiative for Smart Green Governorates projects and the Green Planet Challenge to be held from 25-28 September, then the third Entrepreneurship Club competition at the university.

The Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs and the General Supervisor of the TICO and Entrepreneurship Club offices at the university explained that he pays special importance to this type of training in innovation and entrepreneurship. Whereas the university focuses its efforts towards the national initiative for smart green governorates projects, that its activities are held under the auspices of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi – President of the Republic – to preserve the environment, to improve the quality of life and take into account the rights of future generations, and working on implementing the national strategy for climate change 2050 in frame of Egypt’s hosting and presidency of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention The United Nations Framework for Climate Change (COP 27), and efforts to achieve sustainable development in the context of implementing Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Dr. Abel-Hassan El-Shazly_ Director of TICO office_ and the Entrepreneurship Club at the University, stated that 41 trainees passed this training, and the result was to come up with ten good ideas suitable for participating in competitions and that could reach to what the university aims to participate in and contribute to the establishment of start-up companies that support The Egyptian economy. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-aziz also witnessed the conclusion of the training and honored the training participants.
