Under the patronage of Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, President of Aswan University, and under the supervision of Prof. Eman Mohamed Wagdy, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center at the university, the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center carried out a series of field follow-up visits to the Quality Assurance Units at the Faculties of Science, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Physical Education, and Social Work.
These committees were headed by a distinguished group of professors and quality experts. Each visit included a comprehensive discussion of the three core standards: Academic staff, administrative staff, and community engagement.
Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, President of the University, stated that Aswan University is committed to achieving the highest standards of quality and academic accreditation. The university is working to empower its faculties to meet the requirements for institutional and programmatic accreditation, aiming to position Aswan University at the forefront of accredited Egyptian universities.
For her part, Dr. Eman Wagdy, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center at Aswan University, emphasized that these visits are part of the Center’s ongoing technical support for the Quality Units. She noted that “we are in a race against time to build a culture of quality within the university faculties, and we are working hand-in-hand with the Quality Units to overcome obstacles and achieve the desired goals.”
The visits resulted in a number of important recommendations, most notably: activating the implementation of programmatic standards within each faculty’s scientific departments; completing the self-study and the strategic plan aligned with the university’s overall plan; establishing research cooperation protocols between the faculties and external research institutions; and holding monthly periodic meetings for the Quality Units to raise the challenges they face to the university administration in preparation for practical solutions.
Each committee concluded its visit by expressing appreciation and gratitude to the working teams in the four faculties, praising their team spirit and ambition toward institutional excellence. They also stressed the importance of continued communication with the Quality Assurance Center to keep pace with developments and modern accreditation standards.
