During the proceedings of Aswan University’s latest council, it introduced the university’s preparations to organize African Universities’ Youth Week in next October 2019 according to a previous approval of the Supreme Council of Universities for Aswan university to organize the event. The meeting was headed by Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab, it was attended by Aswan governor Maj. Gen. Ahmed Ibrahim and the council’s members. The session was opened by mourning the passing of Prof. Ahmed Sayed Khali, the vice president of community service and environmental affairs and one of the prominent figures in Aswan University. Prof. Ghallab declared that the Week will witness the alignment of the sun on King Ramses II’s face Phenomenon in Abu Simbel in addition to several other activities. The council approved on a cooperation protocol with the ministry of environment and the Nile Museum to organize some events serving the society. On the sidelines of the council, Aswan governor accompanied by Aswan university president inspected the new facilities of the faculty of agriculture and natural resources and the 2 new ambulances which were provided for introducing the best medical care to our students. In the same context, Prof. Ghallab suggested to the governor that one of Aswan schools is named after Prof. Ahmed Sayed Khalil as an outstanding figure in the field of education.
