Aswan University launches Aswan Women Empowerment Exhibition for Small and Medium Enterprises Products

Within the framework of cooperation between Aswan University, the Aswan Health and Population Directorate, and the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency, under the auspices of Major General. Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, and Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, President of Aswan University, Dr. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Vice President of Aswan University for Education and Student Affairs, inaugurated the Aswan Women Empowerment Exhibition today, Monday, which is held under the auspices of Major General. Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, at the university campus in Sahari during the period from today, March 13 to 15, 2023.

In the presence of Dr. Asmaa Bastawi, Director of the Family Planning Department at the Aswan Health Directorate and the agency’s representative, and Ms. Ashwaq Ahmed Deamerdash, Supervisor of Women’s Clubs, Civil Society Organizations, and Aswan Women in various cities and centers of the governorate in Aswan.

Dr. Loai Saad El-Din said that this exhibition was held in support of Aswan women’s products to display food products and handicraft projects from furniture, clothes, and Ramadan supplies. The exhibition includes 30 women from small business owners. Especially the representatives of women’s clubs at the governorate level.

Ms. Safaa Gamal, Supervisor of Women’s Clubs and Civil Society Organizations in the Directorate, added that we work through the Family Planning and Population Department at the Aswan Health Directorate to empower women economically and socially and improve the standard of living by marketing women’s products in Aswan. This comes in line with the state’s directives to empower women economically, and the exhibition received a great turnout from students and families of the Aswan University.
