Within the framework of academic, scientific, and research exchange with Japanese universities under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman – President of Aswan University – and Dr. Mohamed Abdelaziz – Vice President of Aswan University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs- the Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector received Prof. Yoshifumi Saigo – Dean of Graduate Studies Department of Medical Engineering, Tohoku University, Japan, and the accompanying delegation, Dr. Sayed Abdel Hamid, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Osama Omar, Dr. Ahmed Suleiman, and Dr. Hamada Ismail, Director of the Communication Research Center at Aswan University.
Dr. Ayman Othman said that this meeting comes within the framework of scientific exchange and work to discuss ways of academic and research cooperation, by visiting the Communications Research Center, Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Aswan University, to maximize the research process at Aswan University.
Dr. Muhammad Abdulaziz Muhalal added that the meeting discussed opportunities for joint research cooperation in the field of medical engineering. In this context, Prof. Dr. Saygo will meet with the Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Sayed Abdel Hamid, and members of the research team at the Communications Research Center, as follows. This meeting is a visit to the Faculty of Engineering in Abu Al-Rish, to check the center’s logistic abilities.
Dr. Hamada Ismail explained that this center is unique in Upper Egypt and specializes in research and communication technologies and signal processing, such as the Internet, medical things underground and underwater, and fifth-generation communications technology. The center is also interested in adapting communications technology and working on signal processing for use in medical applications.
