Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab announced Aswan university’s blueprint for the 1st semester exams which were scheduled to be held after the mid-academic year holiday on 20th February 2020. He added that the university made a precise plan for implementing the precautionary measures against COVID-19. Exams schedules for each faculty will be announced successively. Among the key measures are well- aerated examination halls, keeping social distance (1. 5 m between every student and the other) and wearing face masks. Prof Ghallab continued that the university seeks eagerly to apply the online examination system starting from the upcoming year as a procedure among the university’s plan for digital transformation. Aswan university has a strong technological infrastructure, a recently enhanced network, an electronic platform, and well-prepared research centers while centers for the online exams are underway. Prof. Ghallab pointed out that the university is preparing for the 2nd term by preparing the studying halls and the research centers as well as implementing the precautionary measures as disinfecting gates, buildings and providing adequate body temperature measuring devices.
