Aswan University President Praises the Message of Peace at the Memorial for Pope Francis

Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, participated in the memorial service for Pope Francis, the Pope of the Vatican, held at the Coptic Catholic Church in Aswan. The event was attended by a range of security, university, parliamentary, and religious leaders, along with prominent community and public figures.

During the ceremony, Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen offered his condolences to Father Antonious Zakry, the priest of the Catholic Church, expressing his deep sorrow and sympathy to the church’s congregation for this great loss.

Aswan University President emphasized that the death of Pope Francis represents a great loss to humanity, as he was a global symbol of peace, unity, and the call to respect human dignity—values shared by all heavenly religions.

He also highlighted the importance of such participations, which reflect the deep fraternal bonds between Muslims and Christians in Egypt, serving as a true model of national unity and peaceful coexistence.

Prof. Nasrat further clarified that Aswan University will continue to be a platform for fostering closeness and constructive dialogue between cultures and beliefs.
