Exploring ways of Cooperation Between Aswan University and Sadat University in Scientific, Research, and Medical Fields

As part of efforts to strengthen academic and research cooperation among Egyptian universities, Aswan University received an official delegation from Sadat University, headed by Prof. Ahmed Ibrahim Azab, President of Sadat University, to explore prospects for joint collaboration in various scientific, research, and medical fields.

The visit took place at the presidency headquarters of Aswan University in the Sahari campus, where the delegation was welcomed by Prof. Loai Saad Eldeen Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, in attendance of several university leaders from both sides. Among them were Prof. Adel Mekki, Dean of the Faculty of Physical sciences at Aswan University; Prof. Refaat Abdel-Latif, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environment Development; and Dr. Hatem Hosny, along with a number of Academic staff and their assistants.

During the meeting, both sides discussed signing a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening academic and scientific cooperation through the exchange of expertise, organization of student activities, holding joint sports events, and implementing research and community projects that support the educational process and benefit both students and the local community.

Prof. Loai Saad Eldeen Nasrat emphasized Aswan University’s keenness to build bridges of cooperation with other Egyptian universities as part of its efforts to develop the educational and research system. He noted that cooperation with Sadat University represents an important step toward achieving integration among higher education institutions and exchanging experiences, which contributes to the development of academic programs and opens new horizons for students and Academic staff.

For his part, Prof. Ahmed Ibrahim Azab expressed his pleasure with this partnership, stressing that cooperation with Aswan University is an effective model of integration among Egypt’s higher education institutions, particularly in the field of sports sciences. He added that Sadat University attaches great importance to developing academic programs and exchanging expertise in training, scientific research, and community service.

In the same context, Prof. Adel Mekki, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education at Aswan University, welcomed this step, considering signing the protocol a strategic support for the faculty at both the academic and research levels. He pointed out the importance of enhancing academic capacities through collaboration with counterpart faculties in Egyptian universities and implementing joint projects that serve students and the community.

It is worth mentioning that the memorandum of understanding aims to exchange academic expertise, organize joint student activities, and cooperate in the fields of scientific research and training, contributing to enhancing graduates’ competencies and preparing them for the labor market.
