Within the framework of the directives of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman – Aswan University President _ to follow up the works of replacement, renovation and development that is taking place in the university Hostel for female students _in Nasser City _are in full swing.
Today, Thursday, Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat – Vice President of Aswan University for Education and Student Affairs – followed up on the university hostel at Aswan University to follow up on the replacement, renovation and development work that is taking place in Nasser City for female students, which is located behind Aswan Sports Stadium, with the aim of providing better service to students and ensuring the safety of students.
The Vice President for Education and Student Affairs was also accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Zakaria Abdel-Hamid – Engineering Consultant and General Supervisor of the Engineering Department – and the work team in the Engineering Department: Eng. Fatma Abdel-Razek Mohamed, Eng. Nesma Ahmed Mohamed and Eng. Mohamed Mahmoud Ahmed, and the engineers of the Ministry of Military Production, Eng. Ahmed Mohi El Deen Mostafa, and Eng. Taha Mohamed, and Mr. Al-Amir Hamza – Director General of University Hostels, Aswan University.
Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat confirmed that the university Hostels of Aswan University which are 5 hostels, including 3 for girls and 2 for boys, and the capacity of the Hostels is approximately three thousand male and female students of the university distributed by 194 students in the female students’ Hostel in Samad area. And 972 female students in the female students’ Hostel in Sahari region, and 612 male students in the male students’ Hostel in Abu Al-Rish region, and work is underway in Nasser City in preparation for begining its work with the beginning of the next academic year 2023/2024.
Dr. Mohamed Zakaria added that the building accommodates more than 600 students from the faculties of (commerce, medicine, Al-sun, law, nursing, education, energy engineering), indicating that the replacement and renovation works have reached nearly 60% of the finishing and final equipment. The building consists of a ground floor and 6 upper floors, and the second building consists of a ground floor and 5 upper floors, and the capacity is about 650 students.
