Visit of Ministry of Awqaf Delegation to Aswan University

In the framework of the cooperation protocol between Aswan University and Ministry of Awqaf, Prof.  Ayman Mahmoud Osman, President of Aswan University, received a delegation from Ministry of Awqaf today, Tuesday. The delegation included Sheikh Mahmoud Mostafa, Director of Awqaf Administration in Aswan, and Sheikh Abd Allah Mohamed Taha, Director of Mosques in the Directorate, representing Sheikh Hanfi Diab, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf in Aswan. The purpose of the visit was to present Aswan University with the Islamic Culture Encyclopedia from the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, provided by Prof. Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa, Minister of Awqaf.

Prof. Ayman Osman stated that the cooperation protocol between Aswan University and the Ministry of Awqaf encompasses various fields, including training and scientific exchange. The protocol also aims to train imams and preachers to enhance awareness and education on contemporary issues across several areas, including Arabic language sciences, psychology, communication skills, and the art of elocution. The protocol involves collaboration with the faculties of Arts, Dar Al-Uloom, Social Work, and Medicine.

Sheikh Mahmoud Mostafa added that the university visit today included presenting 10 copies of the Islamic Culture Encyclopedia from the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. These were presented as one copy for university president, three copies for Faculty of Dar Al-Uloom and its library, three copies for Faculty of Arts and its library, and three copies for Faculty of Law and its library in university campus in New Aswan City.
