Faculty of Energy Engineering organized a welcoming ceremony for new students under the patronage of Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, and in attendance of Prof. Tarek Hassan, Acting Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Mahmoud Bakri, Faculty Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Fathi, Faculty Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and faculty’s students.
Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, stated that the new student welcoming ceremony is an annual tradition held by the faculties to introduce new students to university life and the faculty’s departments, while also honoring outstanding students to be as role models. The aim of the event is to enhance the values of belonging and loyalty to the nation, foster a spirit of academic and scientific excellence, and align with the presidential initiative ” New Beginning for Human Development,” launched by His Excellency President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi. This initiative aims to build a new generation equipped with knowledge, education, and hard work, while being aware of the major achievements accomplished by the new republic amid current challenges.
Prof. Tarek Hassan, Acting Dean of Faculty of Energy Engineering, added that the faculty welcomes new students at the beginning of each academic year to introduce them to Faculty environment. The Faculty of Energy Engineering is one of the specialized faculties not available in other Egyptian universities, making it highly sought after by high school graduates, especially since Aswan University is home to two engineering faculties. The ceremony concluded with the honoring of outstanding senior students from other years.
