Aswan University Organizes the “100 Days of Sports” Initiative within the Framework of the Presidential Initiative “A New Beginning for Human Development”

As part of the implementation of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning” launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Aswan University organized a reception ceremony for the new students of the academic year 2024/2025. The event is part of the university’s student activities plan, under the patronage of Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of the University, and in attendance of Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Aziz Mehallal, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Adel Mohamed Abdel-Monem Mekki, Dean of Faculty of Sport Sciences.

The ceremony featured impressive sports performances by the students, held at the Aswan University Sports Stadium in Sahari campus. The event was attended by Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, Prof. Ahmed Gallab Mohamed, former President of Aswan University, Prof. Ashraf Imam, Dean of Faculty of Sciences, Major General. Ayman Mohamed El-Sherif, Secretary-General of Aswan Governorate, Major General. Mohamed Abdel-Galil, Assistant Secretary-General of Aswan Governorate, Eng. Amr Mohamed Tawfiq, Chairman of the Board of Al-Salam Academy Private Schools, tourism expert Yasser Markab, Ms. Najat Said Ali from the National Democratic Alliance, and several academic staff from the Faculty of Sport Sciences, along with first- and second-year students from the faculty.

Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat emphasized that these sports activities are part of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Development,” which was launched on August 15, 2024, and will continue for 100 days. The initiative aims to enhance the capabilities of youth in the field of sports and refine their talents in various sports disciplines to help in human development. He pointed out that an action plan is being implemented across all the university’s faculties, whereas the new students for the academic year 2024/2025 have been welcomed.
