Graduate Studies and Research Council at Aswan University discusses organizing the Young Researchers Conference

         On Tuesday, the Postgraduate Studies and Research Council at Aswan University No. (137) was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Aziz Orabi_ Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs_ and in attendance of Vice deans for postgraduate studies and research and members of the Council.

          The Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research started by welcoming the attendees, then approving the minutes of the previous session and discussing several topics related to the graduate studies and research sector, including the formation of committees, supervision, and enrollment of researchers that are registered in graduate studies at the University in various faculties and the African Research and Studies Institute.

         Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Aziz Mehalal_ Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, presented a proposal to activate and include courses for graduate students specializing in climate change and confronting it in frame of state’s interest in the issues of climate change, which has a negative impact on various countries.

             Orabi stressed the reorganization of the Young Researchers Conference in its third session to encourage and urge young researchers at the university to pursue scientific and international publication to improve the educational and research system at the university and work to link it to issues of civil society and the surrounding environment. During the council, the Faculties representatives presented several proposals to develop the conference by making it a regional conference that includes the Universities of South Upper Egypt. The Council also discussed how to automate libraries in Faculties, begin work on their digitization, and complete the scientific equipment repository affiliated with the Supreme Council of Universities to achieve integration between educational institutions and partnership bodies in various fields, especially the scientific research system.
