The Scientific Research Fund awards funding to six competitive research projects.

The Scientific Committee for the Arbitration and Selection of Competitive Projects, headed by Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed, President of Aswan University, and with the membership of Prof. Ayman Othman,Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research and Vice Chairman of the Committee, and the membership of Prof. Mohamed Abdelaziz, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Postgraduate Studies and Research, announced the winning of six projects to be funded by the Scientific Research Fund at Aswan University and Sustainable Development for the academic year 2019–2020. Where Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed, President of the University, stressed the importance of scientific research, which the university attaches significant importance to and works to provide the appropriate research environment to achieve advanced scientific centers for Aswan University in international scientific rankings.
Ghallab added that the committee announced the winning of six projects, and they are:
1- Highly efficient water treatment using biomass-based materials.
2- Biodegradable plastic for the environment.
3- The treatment plan and its technique.
4- Modern antibiotic drugs are extracted from active microbes in the arid Egyptian desert soil.
5- Measurement and Motor Development Center.
6- Improved default inertia control to regulate the frequency of small waves.
