Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman_ Aswan University President_ announced that the university received the award for the best innovative university in the South Upper Egypt region, during the ceremony the results of the MOSAIC competition for the best Egyptian universities and research centers in innovation and cooperation with industry were announced, the cermony was organized by Innovators Support fund on the sidelines of the Meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities.
The honor came in appreciation of the university’s efforts represented in the university’s graduate studies and research sector and its various scientific and research sectors, in attendance of Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Aziz Mehallal_ Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, who witnessed the MOSAIC 2023 competition ceremony for the best Egyptian universities and research centers in innovation and cooperation with industry.
Prof. Ayman Othman_ University President_ confirmed that the University works, through its strategic plan, to support innovation and entrepreneurship, innovators and geniuses care, and work to link innovations with industrial institutions to confront development challenges in Egypt.
Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Aziz Mehallal_ Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, also appreciated the importance of the competition and winning Aswan University as the best innovative university in the South Upper Egypt region according to the criteria of the competition that aims to achieve the national strategy for higher education and scientific research 2030, which the Ministry attaches great importance to Supporting national industry by achieving a link between academic institutions and industrial and production institutions to meet development challenges, and working to support innovation and entrepreneurship at the university, especially since Aswan University is distinguished by its geographical location and its connection to the African market and academic and research partnership with African and international universities to support entrepreneurship and innovation and link them to industry.
