Aswan University President Chairs Professional MBA Thesis Discussions to Strengthen the Link Between Scientific Research and Sustainable Development

As part of Aswan University’s commitment to supporting applied scientific research and enhancing its role in achieving sustainable development, Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, President of Aswan University, attended the public defense sessions of the sixth cohort of the Professional Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program (Qena University Protocol). The event was attended by Prof. Hassan Amin El-Shaqti, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Walid Allam Mohamadin, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Mohamed Abbas Barsi, Assistant Professor of Economics.

The University President actively participated in the evaluation and discussion committees, chairing the defense session of the research presented by researcher Hager Khairy Abdel Latif entitled: “The Impact of Organizational Culture on the Quality of Healthcare Services: An Applied Study on Aswan University Hospital.” He praised the scientific quality of the study and its findings, emphasizing that the professional master’s program serves as a vital bridge between academic administrative thought and the practical realities of state institutions.

The event featured the discussion of 23 research papers on the first day and 18 papers on the second day. The topics covered a wide range of contemporary issues, including applications of artificial intelligence in the business environment, governance systems and institutional performance development, financial technology (FinTech) and its role in supporting the economy, as well as transformational leadership as one of the key pillars of administrative development.

For his part, Prof. Hassan Amin El-Shaqti, Dean of the Faculty, emphasized that the submitted research papers were not merely academic requirements but applied studies that contribute innovative solutions to challenges facing both the public and private sectors. He noted that these efforts strengthen Aswan University’s position as a national center of expertise that relies on scientific research to support decision-making and improve services.

The evaluation committees included a distinguished group of Academic staff, among them Dr. Walid Allam Mohamadin, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Mohamed Abbas Barsi, Assistant Professor of Economics. They commended the scientific quality of the research and its practical recommendations aimed at improving administrative and service performance efficiency, thereby serving the Aswan community and supporting comprehensive development efforts.
