It is subject to the directive of the Director General of Environmental Projects.. It performs the following tasks:
- Supervising management personnel.
- Supervising the preparation and design of an integrated system to follow up the implementation of research projects.
- Seeking the assistance of university experts in designing the documentary courses necessary to control work in applied research projects to achieve their specific goals.
- Cooperating with university faculties, work teams and specialized committees to implement applied research projects to determine the implementation of these projects.
- Supervising the preparation of analytical studies of project implementation data on a regular basis, identifying the difficulties and problems it faces, and proposing appropriate solutions to address them.
- Supervising the records necessary for the implementation of various projects.
- Submitting the necessary proposals to develop applied research projects and achieve their objectives.
