Aswan University Recommends Establishing Research Units Within Factories to Strengthen the Link Between Industry and University

Aswan University concluded the activities of the University Education and Industry Forum in Upper Egypt, held with the participation of a distinguished group of academics and industry leaders. The forum discussed ways to connect scientific research with the needs of the industrial labor market.

Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, President of Aswan University, stated that the forum is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance its role in community service and achieve sustainable development in Upper Egypt.

Dr. Tarek Hassan, Dean of Faculty of Energy Engineering, highlighted that one of the most important recommendations of the forum is the establishment of research and development units within factories and companies. These units would work in partnership with the university to solve technical problems and improve industrial performance through cooperation protocols that ensure integration between both sides.

Dr. Ahmed Owais, Director of TICO Aswan, also called for the formation of a cluster that brings together factories and industrial cities in the region with the university, aiming to address technical challenges and develop products based on scientific research.
